Summary

Description
English: I. DeFrancisci & Son, 219 Morgan Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. I. DeFrancisci & Son was formed in 1914 by Ignazio and Joseph DeFrancisci, and the company made industrial macaroni machines. All the machinery in this shop that built the macaroni machines was run off a pulley/belt system located on the ceiling, which you can see in the picture. The belt system was powered by a single generator and you attach a belt from the system on the ceiling to the machine you want to run (see machine on far left for an example). This was state of the art for 1917. See File:I. DeFrancisci & Son Preparatory Dough Mixer for macaroni.jpg and File:I. DeFrancisci & Son Hydraulic Macaroni Press.jpg for examples of machines built in this shop.
