Summary

Description
English: Huangchangticou is a form of constructing underground tombs in ancient China. Only the core wood of cypress trees are used, and they are laid in such a form that their root-side are all facing inwards toward the coffin. This picture shows a rare specimen of Huangchangticou that is found in Dabaotai (ca. 45 BCE), a Han Dynasty tomb in Beijing, China.
