Not replaceable with
free media because
(WP:NFCC#1)
I searched online for a free alternative image, and could not find one, this was the oldest photograph of him I could find. He was a student at Otis Art Institute for a year and this image was probably taken sometime between 1923 and 1925. The image is from the Otis website on notable alumni.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) The image is to be used as a photograph of the person (deceased) in a biographical article on Wikipedia only. It is small size, black & white.
Respect for
commercial opportunities
(WP:NFCC#2)
I am confident the use of this image will not hurt the commercial opportunities of the owner. It is probably out of copyright. It has no commercial value and will not harm the person depicted, nor any living relatives, or anyone else.
