At the base it says:

In Frisian:
Oerkurven kriich mei digerens bimongen
Yn it ûnleech soms mar nra fan 't plak forkrongen.
Sjuch Fries en fremdling hjir jimm' niget oan
Sa'n trou sa'n faesje, sokke sterke gongen.

Translated in Dutch it says:
Hoe ooit belaagd, zij adel bleef bewaard
Kracht bleef aan moed en energie gepaard.
Gij, Fries en vreemdeling aanschouw dit wonder
Die sterke gang, die trouw, die tomeloze vaart.

Translates in English:
Ones beset, she kept her nobility
Strength remained paired to courage and energy.
You, Frisian and alien contemplates this wonder

That strong pace, that faithfullness, that unbridled speed.
