GLEDITSCH, HENRY COCHRANE WILLIAMSON, teatersjef, Trondheim. Født 9. november 1902 i V. Aker, s. av Theodor Immanuel Gleditsch, f. 1868 i Overhalla, d. 1942 i V. Aker, og Henrietta Jane f. Cochrane Williamson, f. 1868 i Edinburgh, Skottland, d. 1943 i V. Aker. Gift 1932 i Bergen med Synnøve Tanvik, f. 1910 i Trondheim. Artium, studieopphold i Skottland og England. Var leder av teaterfronten, og blant de fremste i det illegale arbeid i Trondheim. Ble arrestert under unntagelsestilstanden i Trondheim 6. oktober 1942 og skutt samme dag. Gravlagt på Falstad, gravd opp natten mellom 4. og 5. mai 1945 og senket i Trondheimsfjorden. Omtalt i Aftenposten 2. juni 1945, i Trøndelag teaters historie og tallrike ganger i pressen for sitt virke for norsk teater. [Våre Falne, Bd. 1, s. 698]
