English: Down 'Pines Express' passing Haresfield station.
View northward, towards Gloucester and the North on the ex-Midland Birmingham - Bristol main line, with the ex-GW main line passing on the right - eschewing the station: the signals for the - Up - GW line seen at Danger include the Distants for Standish Junction Box. This was in the penultimate year for this famous expressive to run via Bath (Green Park) over the S&D route from Manchester (London Road, then Piccadilly) dep. 10.15/10.20(Sat.), via Crewe and Birmingham New Street, due at Bournemouth West 17.32/18.10 (Sat.). This was also in the brief period when the BR 9F 2-10-0s famously found a new use on express passenger work, here No. 92151 (built 11/57, withdrawn 4/67). Haresfield station was closed on 4/1/65.
