English: Green Island on Lough Gill with Kilkenny Mountain beyond This is one of about twenty small islands on beautiful Lough Gill. This view is across Aghamore Bay at the south-west corner of the Lough. It is a freshwater lake which lies to the south-east of Sligo Town and is about six miles long from west to east and two miles broad at its widest.
