Norsk bokmål: Hvert år tar omtrent 25 000 mennesker turen til Gaustatoppen, men heldigvis er det om sommeren det er flest personer på den 1883 meter høye toppen. Mange av dem som er oppe om vinteren, går på fjellski og velger letteste vei ned. Best nedkjøring finnes derimot i de sju rennene på østsida av fjellet (nord for tårnet på toppen). Under optimale forhold er det mulighet til å stå på ski helt ned til Rjukan. Den betjente hytta Gaustatoppen Turisthytte, som ligger helt oppe på toppen, er betjent ved påsketider og har enkel servering av vafler, kaffe og drikke.
English: Every year about 25,000 people make the trip to Gaustatoppen, but fortunately it is summer there are as many people in the 1883 meters high mountain. Many people travel to Gaustatoppen also in the winter, but this is mostly for skiing down this terrific mountain. Best descent are however in the seven races on the east side of the mountain (north of the tower on top). Under optimal conditions it is possible to ski right down to Rjukan. The catering cottage Gaustatoppen Mountain Lodge, located right up at the top, is staffed at Easter and have single serving of waffles, coffee and drinks. |
