It is believed that the use of this newspaper scan in the article GCN, which discusses the publications work and puts it in context with other Irish LGBT publications, is a legitimate fair use of this low resolution image towards knowledge and understanding, and does not infringe the copyright of GCN. There are no known free alternatives available. The image is not just used illustratively for its subject, but also as an item in its own right, which is partly the subject of the article, in as much as the use of this newspaper scan in international press coverage is per se a significant fact and is mentioned as such in the article.
