Français : Jean-Honoré Fragonard : Madame Brillon de Jouy (1744–1824) – Anne-Louise née Boyvin d'Hardancourt épouse Brillon de Jouy Claveciniste réputée et compositrice, elle feuillette un cahier de musique devant un clavecin à double clavier. La toile, appelée « L'Étude » avant l'identification du sujet en 2011, avait été considérée comme une "allégorie de la musique" ou une des "figures de fantaisie", portraits d'amis et de clients de Fragonard. Le premier propriétaire de l'oeuvre fut probablement le Lyonnais Randon de Boisset. Legs du Dr. Louis La Caze, 1869.
