Флаг Любимского муниципального района представляет собой прямоугольное полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3 воспроизводящее композицию герба Любимского муниципального района, разделённое на две равные полосы.

Нижнее поле — зелёное, разделённое чёрным на несколько частей. Из зелёного поля выходящий чёрный восстающий в серебряном поле медведь, несущий на левом плече серебряную на червлёной рукояти секиру
