Har som fiskeridir. deltatt i en rekke off. kom. vedr. fiskerier, i den senere tid i stillings medfør meget optatt med handelspolitiske spørsmål, form. utv. for Reklamefond for Norsk Medicintran, form. styret Statens Vitamininstitutt, form. styret for Fiskeribedriftens Forskningsfond. Komm. av svenske Wasaordens 2. kl., komm. I kl. av spanske orden Al Merito Civil, storoff. belgiske Leopoldorden.
