En 1925 se instaló y se inauguró en el Parque de Bolívar el busto del periodista antioqueño Fidel Cano Gutiérrez, fundador del periódico El Espectador (el más antiguo de Colombia, el cual nació en Medellín). La escultura es obra del maestro Francisco Antonio Cano, y fue impulsada y financiada por la Sociedad de Mejoras Públicas de Medellín, acatando una ley del Congreso de 1920. |
