English: The FFV 890C (5.56×45mm NATO) assault rifle was basicly a modified version of the IMI Galil SAR rifle, manufactured in the late 1970's by Swedish defence conglomerate Förenade Fabriksverken (FFV). It was entered in the competition held by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to replace the Automatkarbin 4 (Ak 4, a modified HK G3), as the Swedish Armed Forces new service rifle. Eventually the FN FNC rifle was selected over the 890C and became the new service rifle in 1985 under the designation Automatkarbin 5 (Ak 5). This particular 890C was donated to the Swedish Army Museum in November 1984.
