Description U.S. Navy personnel work around the forward fuselage section of a Grumman F-14B-145-GR Tomcat (BuNo 162919) of Fighter Squadron Eleven (VF-11) Red Rippers at Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait, in support of operation Southern Watch on 19 March 1998. VF-11 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 7 (CVW-7) aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) during that carrier's round the world cruise from 26 February to 26 August 1998.
