"La Vasija de barro representa a Gachalá que en lengua Chibcha quiere decir lugar de las gachas, pero también se le da el significado de Derrota de la Noche, la explotación minera representa la riqueza esmeraldífera del municipio, la Iglesia representa nuestra creencias religiosas, la siguiente fotografía representa nuestra labranza, la representa el gran valor fluvial ya que es capital hidroeléctrica de Colombia."
