English: Painting by Emile Claus – "The Picknick"
Français : Peinture d'Emile Claus – "Le Pique-nique" ; achetée par le Musée Royal des Beaux-Arts d'Anvers. Il représente une sortie familiale, un dimanche, sur les bords de la Lys (souvent peinte par E. Claus). On sent ici l'influence de Claude Monet, et du luminisme qui a influencé Claus à partir de 1904. Sur une des berges, une famille de paysans, installés dans les herbes non fauchées et au soleil, observe les familles de la bourgeoisie locale qui pique-niquent sur la berge opposée, sur une section de berge plus arborée et entretenue
