Description
English: Pottery ostracon: inscribed in Aramaic on both surfaces. Translation: "Greetings [to] Micaiah from Jedaniah. Now, lo, I sent [word] to you yesterday in the name of Hodaviah son of Zechariah, saying, "Come this day," but you did not come. In[to] the hand of [i.e. through] my daughters send [word] to me [or, I sent to you]." From Elephantine, Persian Period, around 475 BC.
