English: Firemen and police recovering 8-year-old Helen Lynch's dead body from the Kensico Reservoir on September 16, 1942. Reports stated that her body was recovered at 1:00 am. Edward Haight, who confessed to Helen Lynch's murder, guided investigators to the location where he discarded of her body, and news reports said he was present at the scene as investigators used dredging techniques to recover her body.
