What purports to be a BR Drewry 0-4-0 shunter No.12589 but in fact BR had no Drewry 0-4-0's, only the Class "04" 0-6-0's and no BR diesel was numbered 12589! It is in fact preserved Drewry/Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns 0-4-0 Drewry No.2589 and RSH No.7922 of 1956, "Harry" at Barrow Hill, 02/14. The number is in "gilt" (more a pale cream/straw colour) and in the LNER Gill Sans style as introduced by Thompson in 1945 but modified by Peppercorn in 1946 into a less "condensed" style. Below the "BR" number is the Drewry works plate and above and above the 1949 BR emblem, commonly nicknamed the "lion on a unicycle"!
