English: P. 51 Passage boat from Macao to Canton, length 50 to 65 feet (15.24 to 19.81 m); width 10 to 12 feet (3.05 to 3.66 m), a drawing by François-Edmond Pâris, in 1832. Pâris may be the figure sitting on the deck with a board on his knees drawing. The other characters are his companions three fellow naval officers and a civilian, Cyrille Pierre Théodore Laplace, the head of the expedition. They are on a journey from the Macao on the peninsula to Canton.
