2. Data, timeseries start at oldest-earliest point-data available at Bank of Greece's database (see links to files above) though some timeseries' late-start is also due to reclassification; see following notes below taken almost verbatim from BoG spreadsheet files.
3. As of 6/2010 loans to sole proprietors are no longer included in loans to corporations but as a separate subcategory of loans. Moreover loans to private non-profit institutions include loans to religious institutions.
4. Loans to public corporations that have been reclassified (in accordance with a decision by EL.STAT. in 11/2010) from the private to the public sector are included in credit to General Government as of 12/2009.
5. As of 6/2010 non traded corporate bonds are included in "loans" rather than "debt securities".
6. In 8/2011 domestic credit institutions registered a reduction in the value of their portfolio of Greek Government securities amounting to 4 billion € because of their participation in the securities exchange programme agreed by the EU Summit of 21/7/2011. In 1/2012 credit institutions registered a further reduction in the value of this pοrtfolio amounting to 5.8 billion €, in 3/2012 a reduction of 15.2 billion € and in 4/2012 a reduction of 4.1 billion €."
