Summary

Description Diuris orientis. Native, cool-season, perennial, slender, erect herb to 50 cm tall and spreading from daughter tubers to produce extensive colonies. There are 1-3 erect, grass-like leaves. Flowerheads are racemes with 1-8 flowers to 5 cm wide. Flowers are yellow suffused with brown and mauve. Grows among grass on well drained soils in forests, flowering best after fires. This specimen was from the Adelaide hills, S.A.
