DescriptionDisused railway line in Park Wood, Welsh Bicknor - geograph.org.uk - 724564.jpg
English: Disused railway line in Park Wood, Welsh Bicknor Photo is taken from the bricked-in railway tunnel on the old Severn-Wye line near Welsh Bicknor. The picture looks south along the line of the original track towards the bridge over the river Wye. The bridge is now for pedestrians only and forms part of the Wye Valley Walk. A WW2 pillbox to the left of the track guards the then railway bridge. Vertical rails found at both ends of the bridge are likely to be part of anti-tank defences hindering access for attacking forces to the bridge.
