Summary

Description
English: This map depicts the contour lines of distance to the seas (in km) in central Asia. It is based on the algorithm described by Garcia-Castellanos & Lombardo (2007, Scottish Geographical Journal). Red dots indicate the two furthest points from the coast (Eurasian Pole of Inaccessibility, EPIA) and the triplets of locations in the coast closest to those two poles. The third dot in the center of Asia is a miscalculated location of the EPIA cited in the literature (Crane & Crane, 1987).
