Summary
edit"Die Liebesgaben zigarre" (caption); WWI postcard, comic art: a German soldier in a wintery(?) setting, with forested background, drops attacking wolves (which are coming out of the woods) by blowing cigar smoke into their faces. Either hand-drawn ink (or coloured pencil?), or possibly an early "xerox"/mimeograph/___? printed item (local production?); in any case done on a standard-issue, blank-faced, printed German Army "feldpostkarte". Artist not-identified/unknown. Wittig collection, item 29; private collection, fam. Wittig et cie.
Created during WWI, therefore obviously pre-1923; uploaded here to avoid Commons' "dual jurisdiction" PD rule.
Please do not transfer to WMC unless you can confirm the item's PD-status as per Commons' requirements.
