"digital restoration" of an illustration from King René's Tournament Book.

Deze middeleeuwse illustratie uit de veertiende eeuw werd door mij uitgebreid digitaal gerestaureerd. Dat was nodig omdat beide hertogen zich op twee verschillende tegenoverliggende perkamenten bladzijden van een opengeslagen boek bevonden.

De kloof en de perspectivische vertekening die daaruit voorkomen heb ik gecorrigeerd zodat de beide hertogen, herkenbaar aan het witte " vair" of hermelijn van Bretagne en de schuine rode balk op de Franse lelies van de Hertog van Bourbon weer op één en hetzelfde vlak vechten. De ondergrond is aangevuld, de sterk verkleurde achtergrond is voor de duidelijkheid wit gemaakt door de figuren " uit te knippen". Robert Prummel 2006
