فالإنسان في الأول يكون شابا ً حرا ً طليقا ً .. و يفكر في الحب , و يفكر في الكراهية .. !! فهمه الكبير هو العشق و الغرام .. أما بعدها يصبح عجوزا ً يعد أيامه ساعات , و الموت قد يهلك جسده في أي لحظة .. فالثعبان المقيد هناك .. هي الموت المقيدة بالحياة .., و الحياة أيضا ً كلها أحزان بعد الشباب .. فترون هناك سكين أي القتل , و سفك الدماء , و شجيرات ذابلة .. و أرض قاحلة .. كلها تدل على الأحزان .. و الدمار .... !! أما الساعة فهي رمز فناء البشرية أجمع ,, وهو اليوم الذي ينتظره المتدينون بالخصوص .. و لكـــن العين فوق فهي تشاهد كل الأحداث و كل ميت يموت .. فالتاريخ من يسجل هذا !! هناك تفسيرات كثيرة جدا ً .. و معاني ..English: This painting ..
