Object history
Deutsch: Aus der Zeit um 1600 sind Dorfgerichtssiegel überliefert. Sie zeigen den Heiligen Martin mit dem Bettler, später den Heiligen Georg auf dem Pferd mit dem Lindwurm. Das Gemeindewappen knüpft nicht an diese alten Siegelbilder an, sondern stellt die alten Herrschaftsverhältnisse dar. Im Schildhaupt steht das Wappen der Markgrafen von Brandenburg-Ansbach, die seit dem 16. Jahrhundert als Herrschaftsinhaber belegt sind. Der rote Pferdekopf in silbernem Feld stellt das Wappen der Zobel von Giebelstadt dar und erinnert an deren Dorfherrschaft in Segnitz.
