Deutsch: Das Wappen hat die Form eines Schildes, welches in der Mitte senkrecht gespalten (aufgeteilt) ist. Das blaugelbe Schach der linken Schildhälfte erinnert an die vordere Grafschaft Sponheim; von 1248 - 1437 waren die Grafen der vorderen Grafschaft unsere Landesherren. Sie führte das blaugelbe Schach schon in ihrem Wappen. Auf der rechten Schildhälfte ist auf silbernem Untergrund das blaue Band des Kyrbaches und ein schwarzes Mühlenrad dargestellt. Es soll auf die Lage des Dorfes am Kyrbach und seine drei alten Mühlen hinweisen, auf die bereits 1438 erwähnte sponheimischen Eichenmühle, die Basten- oder Schlemmersmühle und die Minnigs- oder Ulrichsmühle. |
