Deutsch: Schon der älteste Abdruck eines Stadtsiegels von 1478 zeigt den Storch. Er steht dort, wie auch in der ältesten Wappenzeichnung von 1535, zwischen zwei mit den Enden nach außen weisenden, aufgerichteten württembergischen Hirschstangen. Wenig später wird eine liegende schwarze Hirschstange im goldenen Schild über dem natürlichen Storch dargestellt, der - danach in wechselnden Stellungen, teils mit, teils ohne Hirschstange, Wurm und Boden erscheinend — auf die Überlieferung hinweisen soll, wonach sich früher die Störche vor dem Abflug im nahen Aipertal versammelten. Schließlich hat sich die jetzige Form durchgesetzt. Während zuvor eine Flagge in den Farben Rot-Weiß-Gelb-Schwarz geführt worden ist, verlieh das Landratsamt am 24. April 1979 die jetzigen Flaggenfarben. |
