Deutsch: Der Stadt Bedburg ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 07.11.1977 die Genehmigung zur Führung eines Wappens, eines Siegels, und einer Flagge erteilt worden. Wappen und Siegel versinnbildlichen die historische Vergangenheit der Stadt. „Das Wappen der Stadt zeigt, geteilt oben im roten mit fünf silbernen (weißen) Wecken bestreuten Feld einen zwiegeschwänzten, bekrönten, wachsenden, silbernen (weißen) Löwen; unten in Silber (Weiß) ein rotes Schildchen, darüber einen fünflätzigen blauen Turnierkragen.“ Das Wappen zeigt den Heinsberger Löwen im oberen Teil und unten die Symbole der Grafen von Salm-Reifferscheidt.
English: „The arms were granted on November 7, 1977. The upper part shows the arms of the Lordship Bedburg, which is derived from the arms of Heinsberg. The lower part is the arms of the Lords of Salm-Reifferscheidt. The Reifferscheidt family was appointed vassals over Bedburg in 1291 by the Bishops of Köln. The oldest seals first only show a dragon, the supporter of the Reifferscheidt arms. Later seals show the dragon holding the shield. The arms were devised in the 19th century and were confirmed after the merger on November 7, 1977. “
