Object history
Deutsch: In Baienfurt wurde um 1830 die Sonderkultur des Weberkarden-Anbaues betrieben. Damals benötigte die Textilindustrie diese Distelart zum Aufrauhen bestimmter Stoffe. Auf Vorschlag der Archivdirektion Stuttgart legte die Gemeinde im Jahre 1931 ein Wappen fest, das diese Besonderheit anspricht. Das Landratsamt Ravensburg hat die Flagge am 5. Mai 1982 verliehen.
