J.H.B., (Vicar of Chittlehampton & Prebendary of Exeter Cathedral), Chittlehampton Parish Magazine, no.128, January 1958): Sable, a cross argent voided gules between four eagles with two heads displayed of the second. Compare with arms of Abbott of Hartland.
