Summary

Description
English: Converted Church, Eastney - Portsmouth This was the garrison church of St. Andrews in the Royal Marine Barracks at Eastney. It had many laid up regimental colours and also memorial plaques, and was very attractive inside. It has been tastefully converted into 9 dwellings. The Dunn on the nameplate refers to Lt. Col Sir Vivian Dunn, who was the Principal Director of Music Royal Marines. I used to be in the choir at this church. I can only assume that they were very short of choristers, as I couldn't sing then and I can't sing now. We used to love watching the Sunday Church Parades and we spent hours playing in the barracks as children.
