This image, Completepeanutsvol15052.jpg, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (Hiding Talk) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

1. No free alternative can exist given the likeness of the characters depicted are subject to copyright, trademark and intellectual property laws and thus protected;
2. It is a low resolution copy of a comic strip collection cover;
3. It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the collection in any way;
4. The cover art was released to the media via a press release to publicise the series;
5. Copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the cover art on another collection;
6. The image is significant; it is the first in a series of collections. The collections are the first such collections to compile the Peanut comic strips in entirety;
7. The collections of the work demonstrate the lasting appeal of the strip, and these collections in particular are discussed in context within the article;
8. The image illustrates the publication format of the series as a whole as well as identifying the actual volume and the general fact that Peanuts strips are subject to a wide and varied compilation.
