The shield, surrounded by the order of the Golden Fleece and surmounted by a royal crown. These arms are those of the Duchy of Savoy from which it took its name.
Español: Escudo del Regimiento de "Saboya" [Actualmente Regimiento de Infantería número 6 (RI-6)] (Ejército de Tierra Español) Escudo tradicional con atributos no estandarizados empleado como emblema ordinario. Descripción: En campo de gules, cruz de plata. Al timbre corona real. El todo rodeado del Toisón de Oro. Sus armas son las del Ducado de Saboya, de donde tomó su nombre.
