Object history 2006: stolen from Museu da Chácara do Céu
Notes This painting was stolen from the Museu Chácara do Céu, Rio de Janeiro, in 2006, together with three other works by Pablo Picasso (A dança, 1956), Salvador Dalí (Os dois balcões, 1929) and Henri Matisse (Jardim de Luxemburgo, 1903). The paintings haven't been recovered yet.
