Summary
DescriptionChurch House, Pontrobert - geograph.org.uk - 561928.jpg |
English: Church House, Pontrobert. Otherwise known as Art-home, at the time of photography Church House was a stylish artist's home which provided an excellent bed, breakfast and evening meal. A special feature was the Japanese water-garden at the rear of the house which was maintained by Cathy Knapp as a tribute to the work of her late husband, Stefan Knapp (1921-1996) who pioneered the technique of enamel art work on steel.
In 2008, Cathy moved the collection to Maes Mawr near Caersws 901544 which she converted into an art gallery and centre for art courses http://www.midwalesarts.org.uk/. |
