Landscape painting: Cedars Raipids , by Samuel M. Brookes and Thomas H. Stevenson In 1856 they painted a group of river town sites and locks for the Fox-Wisconsin River Improvement Co.

Brookes died in 1892. It's assumed that Stevenson died about same time.
