English: The former Buffalo Terminal House of the Cataract Power and Conduit Company, 2280 Niagara Street at Ontario Street, Buffalo, New York, May 2020. Erected in 1901, it originally housed transformers and circuit breakers handling 22,000 volts of alternating-current electric power - the highest ever used for bulk power transmission at the time - generated at the Adams Hydroelectric Station at Niagara Falls, a system innovated by Nikola Tesla under the employ of George Westinghouse.
