Description
En primer término, estratos de rocas que asoman sobre la arena. Ya sobre el agua, más rocas en medio de la rompiente de las olas. En la lejanía, mar y línea del horizonte con un perfil de costa a la derecha. Haes retoma el motivo de estas mismas rocas, aunque ligeramente cambiado el punto de vista, en el dibujo (D05205) también de esta misma donación. También Jaime Morera recoge en su Playa de Guetary (estudio) del Museo Jaime Morera de Lérida este mismo motivo. es de suponer que ambos pintores, maestro y discípulo, en sus largas jornadas de convivencia y trabajo, se impusieran, a veces como ejercicio o a veces incluso como reto profesional y amistoso entre ellos, la plasmación del mismo tema sugestivo (Gutiérrez Márquez, A., Carlos de Haes en el Museo del Prado 1826-1898, Madrid, 2002).
