CHINA LAKE HISTORICAL OVERVIEW

Arena firing of continuous-rod warhead, 1972; extremely effective against aircraft, the continuous-rod warhead is a single bar of metal explosively expanded into a sort of flying buzzsaw; China Lake developed warheads for a variety of missiles, including Sidewinder and Sparrow.
