Summary

Description
English: Monument to Daniel Defoe (1661-1731) in Bunhill Fields burial ground. The monument dates from 1870, and was designed by C.C. Creeke, and sculpted by Samuel Horner of Bournemouth. In the shadows to the right can be seen the headstones to William Blake (1757-1827) (facing camera) and Joseph Swain (1761-96) (sideways on).
