For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-TBD-Wlocka-Kister Wjt-Ku. 4 Motive 25.4.1955 -2930- SC Turbine Erfurt Fußballmeister - DDR-Fußballmeister 1954-55 wurde zum zweiten Male hintereinander der Sportclub Turbine Erfurt. In 25 Spielen ungeschlagen lagen die Erfurter stets an der Spitze der Tabelle, holten sich die Meisterwürde jedoch nur mit einem Punkt Vorsprung vor dem SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt. Spiel SC Turbine Erfurt - SC Lok Leipzig im Leipziger Stadion des Friedens. Nach dem 1:1 beim Abpfiff stürmten tausende der Zuschauer auf den Platz. Die Erfurter Schlachtenbummler trugen die neuen DDR-Meister auf den Schultern vom Platz. (Von links nach rechts): Julo Hannel, Lothar Weise, Georg Rosbigalle und Kimme Hoffmeyer.
