Sandmänchen beginnt 25. Geburtstag (2 Motive)
Der Freund der Kinder in der DDR, der 25 Zentimeter kleine Fernsehstar Sandmännchen, hat trotz seiner allabendlich einschläfernden Wirkung einen großen Zuschauerkreis für sein 10-Minuten-Programm. Seine Beliebheit ist so groß, daß er sich seit 1979 sogar einen zusätzlichen Sendeplatz im II. Fernsehprogramm erobern konnte.
Am 22. November 1959 wurde er zum ersten Mal zum Müdemachen auf die Reise geschickt. Seine Fortbewegungsmittel (bisher über 180) reichen vom Ruderboot und Fahrrad bis zur Rakete.
Schöpfer der beliebten Fernsehfigur ist der Regisseur des Fernsehens der DDR Gerhard Behrendt. Mit seinen 40 Mitarbeitern sorgt er dafür, daß das Sandmännchen täglich pünktlich auf dem Bildschirm erscheint.
