Ce bâtiment abritait la machine à vapeur, dite pompe à feu mise en place en 1825 pour alimenter en eaux les bassins de château de Marly et de Versailles. Œuvre de l’ingénieur-mécanicien Louis Martin et de l’architecte François-Charles Cécile, elle resta en fonctionnement jusqu'à 1837.

This building sheltered the steam engine, said pump on fire, implementation in 1825 to feed with waters the ponds of château of Marly and of Versailles. Work of the engineer-mechanic Louis Martin and of the architect François-Charles Cécile, the machine functioned until 1837.
