Summary

  • English: In this picture published in 1908 at the ground floor can be seen the famous "kneeling windows", allegedly designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti for the facades of Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence, Italy. Whoever the real inventor, these are the prototypes of all "kneeling" windows, much used in Tuscany in the mannerist and baroque periods.
