Martin built Boeing B-29-1-MO Superfortress, serial 42-6232, Kickapoo II. Assigned to 792d Bombardment Squadron of the 468th Bombardment Group. It was damaged on its second combat mission on 20 June 1944, then modified as a tanker, flying 36 missions over The Hump. It was declared "war weary" on 25 November 1944 and returned to the US. It was reclaimed at Pyote Army Air Field, Texas on 21 December 1949. Baugher 1942 USAF Serial Numbers.
