English: John Robert "Bob" Roses (born 1947) is an American retired schoolteacher and former politician. This photo shows Roses as a student at Alaska Methodist University in the late 1960s. Roses had a long career teaching school in Anchorage and served a single term as a Republican member of the Alaska House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009. He represented the Muldoon area of East Anchorage, of which he is a longtime resident. His wife's family, the Jelineks, were among the original settlers of the northern part of Muldoon in the middle 20th century.
